What is a CNA?
A CNA is a certified nursing Assistant. CNA's work directly under a LPN or RN in a variety of facilities including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home care settings, hospice, assisted living facilities and more. A CNA provides routine individualized healthcare which include linen changes, assistance with activities of daily living (ADL's), bathing, dressing, grooming, companionship, transferring patients, feeding, and reporting changes in health status.
Do you need a H.S. Diploma or GED?

 In Florida, to take the CNA Exam and work as a CNA, you Do Not have to have a high school diploma or GED.

What are the forms of payment for the course?

We can accept cash or check payments in person. You can also pay online. If eligible, Tri-County will assist with cost of course payment. Contact number for Tri-County 850 638 4520.

What programs helps cover the cost of the course?

The cost of the program can be paid privately. Tri- County will help cover the cost if eligible.

How often is the course offered?

Our 5 day CNA Training Course starts a new class one week per month, check the booking calendar for specific dates. We only accept 8 students per class, per week. You can see availability under the book online link.

What does the fee for course cover?

The fee for the CNA course covers your tuition, workbook study guide, classroom training supplies and AHCA approved background screening necessary to take the Prometric Exam.

What are the admission requirements?

You will need a valid drivers license or ID card. Must be able to pass a level II background screen. Class course payment must be paid in full prior to start of class.

When should I schedule to take the state exam?

You will go to Prometric.com/nurseaide to schedule the exam. The exam fee is $155. We suggest scheduling the exam prior to registering or during the course. It may take up to 30 days to receive a scheduled test date.
